Superhuman Docs (Coda) for Confluence Documentation
Introduction
Superhuman Docs for Confluence allows you to bring your Superhuman Docs (formerly known as Coda) into Confluence.
The app has two modes:
Import
Live embed
When you import a page, it is turned into static Confluence content that can then be edited directly from within Confluence.
When you live-embed a page with the Superhuman Docs macro, then the page remains in Superhuman Docs but the content is displayed directly within the Confluence page.
Installation and Configuration
Once installed, you do not need to configure the app. However, each user will require a Superhuman Docs token to be generated and registered with the app.
Token Configuration
When a token is missing or invalid, you need to configure a new token for your user account by selecting “Superhuman Docs Token Configuration” from the Apps menu on the Confluence sidebar.

Importing Documents from Superhuman Docs Into Confluence (Static Import)
To import a Superhuman Docs page into Confluence, select Superhuman Docs Import please use the following steps:
Navigate to the parent page under which you would like to import the document
From the three-dots menu on the right, select Apps → Import Superhuman Docs (Coda) Page
Copy and past the full URL to your Superhuman Docs page into the form and press Start Import
The Create draft page option allows you to import the page as a draft. This is particularly useful when there is a page-name clash in Confluence, allowing you to rename the page before saving it.
Using the Superhuman Docs Macro (Live Embed)
The Superhuman Docs macro allows you to embed live content into Confluence pages. The content remains in Superhuman Docs but it becomes visible in Confluence.
When changes are made in Superhuman Docs, those changes are also reflected on the Confluence page.
To insert the Superhuman Docs macro, edit the page, select the “+” symbol in the top bar and search for Superhuman Docs.
You can then enter the full UR to the Superhuman Docs page into the configuration dialogue.
The option at the bottom allows you to either show or hide a link to the original page in Superhuman Docs as well as visual separators.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is import failing with “page exists”?
Page names in Confluence must be unique within a space. When you encounter page-name conflicts, you can either rename the page in Superhuman Docs or you can import the page as a draft, which then allows you to rename the page in Confluence before saving it.
